Cothill House

Cothill House

Cothill house is an independent, all-boys boarding and day school that has been providing a first-class education to boys aged 8-13 to prepare them for life beyond school. The school was established in 1870 and situated in one of the most famous English countryside, Oxfordshire. Cothill received an excellent result in preparing boys for the leading schools in the country. In 2018-2023 more than sixty per cent of students went on to Eton, Radley, Winchester, Harrow and other leading schools, respectively.

The school has excellent facilities for sports, music, drama, and arts. The boys are encouraged to get involved in all aspects of school life. They can participate in team sports such as rugby, cricket, and football or individual pursuits like horse riding, tennis, and squash. There are also opportunities to join the choir, orchestra, drama productions and clubs for art, photography, and chess.

Cothill House offers a boarding experience that emphasizes the importance of fostering independence, responsibility, and self-reliance.

The boys are housed in small dormitories where they learn to live and work as a team, forming lifelong friendships and gaining valuable life skills along the way. The school's pastoral care system is excellent, with every student assigned a tutor who provides support and guidance throughout their time at Cothill House.

In terms of academics, Cothill is an exceptional school that prepares boys for entry into leading senior schools in the UK and abroad. The school has a strong academic focus and provides a broad and balanced curriculum covering all areas of study, encouraging boys to develop their critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. The boys are taught by experienced and dedicated teachers in a small classroom with a delightful environment, so we can ensure that the teacher can focus on each student's needs to reach their full potential.

Overall, Cothill House is a fantastic choice for parents who are looking for an outstanding independent boarding school that provides a rigorous academic program, extensive extracurricular activities, and a supportive and nurturing environment. More importantly, the student will receive good care at the school, which allows them to grow and thrive, both academically and personally.
