Boarding School
Boarding School in England is a world-class destination for students to experience life in boarding schools and colleges. In UK, international boarders can start from age of 8 and continue to the higher levels. There are two types of boarding schools which are '' State Boarding School '' and '' Independent Boarding School '' The difference between these type is the State will be free of charge for tuition but not the accommodation and food, while Independent form will be charged for tuition and accommodation. There are also exclusive school which offers for only boys and girls as well as some school which offers for both called Co-Ed or Co education School.
Boarding Schools in the UK have three terms. Each school sets its own term dates so they can vary, but here is a general guide:
• Autumn term or Michaelmas : September until mid-December. The autumn half-term holiday is a week or two weeks at the end of October
• Spring term or Lent: early January until Easter. The spring half-term holiday is a week in February
• Summer Trinity: after Easter until early July. The summer half-term holiday is a week at the end of May.
However, during each term , students will have an optional Exeat to leave the school as well as Half-Term break for around 10 days.If students choose not toreturn home, then they will need to stay with a guardian. The Scholars Row also provide a guardianship service for those student during this school break to provide another academic assistant and other creative activities.
